The Vision

In our exclusive interview, the homeowner shares insights about what drew them to the location, what inspired the home's design, and the care that was involved in selecting the finishing touches.

As you step into this stunning home, the architectural and design precision is immediately apparent. The open floor plan seamlessly connects living spaces, creating an environment perfect for entertaining and everyday life.

"We wanted to the home to be a blend of modern and transitional, I like to think of it as 'updated-traditional style,'" the homeowner said. "The house is very much a blend of both of our styles. I like minimal decor and a monochromatic color palette, so we stuck with neutral colors throughout the house."

When the homeowners began the project with the builder, Silverstone Homes, the foundation had already been laid and the exterior walls had been erected. "The exterior and the square footage of the home was already set in stone," the homeowner said, "But we were able to customize the layout inside. We did end up moving quite a few of the interior walls."

The homeowners were also responsible for selecting the finishes for the home, including many nice interior upgrades that can't bee seen with the naked eye.

"We put a lot of thought into the feel and comfort of the home," the homeowner explained. "For example, the luxury vinyl we installed throughout the house has more of a wear-layer cushion underneath it, so it's not so hard on your feet. And for the carpeted spaces, we put an a water-repellent extra cushion in so when you step on the carpet, it's just more plush and cozy."
The homeowner found inspiration in the backlighting and light fixtures (images on left) and created a lovely guest bathroom (images on right).

Unique Features

One of the home’s standout features is the master suite. With a spacious bedroom, walk-in closet, and spa-like bathroom, it offers sanctuary and luxury.

"I love the steam shower, heated floors, and the dimmable lighting in the bathroom," the homeowner said. "It creates a relaxing and moody atmosphere."

The laundry room is incredibly functional with ample cabinet storage and a clothes-folding table.

"While it's not the biggest laundry room out there, it's very functional and I've come to really love it," the homeowner said.

Aside from the unique lighting in the garage, the homeowner notes that the heated, garage floor became a favorite feature of the home.

"It's so nice walking to a garage that's 60 degrees when it's -30 degrees outside," the homeowner said. "The finished space became an extension of our home."

The outdoor walkway and driveway are also heated, eliminating the need to shovel snow in the winter.

Outdoor Living

The exterior of the home complements its modern design with a beautifully landscaped yard that provides a good balance for family life.

"We love spending time on the patio, relaxing, barbecuing and watching our kids play, but as far as the yard goes, it was very easy to maintain," the homeowner said. "I love that it's both landscaped, and manageable. That was a big draw for us to be in town."

The large outdoor entertaining area is ideal for enjoying Great Falls' picturesque evenings and beautiful sunsets.

Community and Surroundings

Situated in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood, the property is close to top-rated schools and all of the activities Great Falls has to offer.

"We initially wanted to build outside of town," the homeowner said. "But, with three young children and being business owners, eliminating the 20-30 minute drive was super appealing. This location is nice because it's both close to town, but still has a pretty view right out the front door with no risk of someone building in front and obstructing the view."
